PROBLEM OVERVIEW

Stanford challenged us to design for preventive health to help youth make better lifestyle choices. We wanted to focus on a core lifestyle change such as rest-wake cycles since poor sleep hygiene is often responsible for rising mid-life health concerns. Since the challenge was about longetivity, the product lifecycle needed to create habitual change with time, through consistency and retention. For this to happen, our design intervention needed to be early, repetitive and engaging enough for users to keep coming back to in the longer term.

REFINED PROBLEM STATEMENT

How can we promote longetivity through design to create lasting change? How early should our design intervene to prevent negative feedback loops and tranform to healthy behavior?
