ON WEEKENDS, I DO PODCASTS
STorytelling is when my inner child starts speaking to the world…
From writing travel journals to fanfictions of wattpad, I have always been a storyteller. To me, a good story doesn’t have to be curated instagram feed, a blog account or a podcast of narrative life events. What makes a good story is how deeply you were engaged in the moment and how well you expressed the richness of your memory through your medium. Can others live in your shoes if they wanted to? Give them your eyes for a brief moment, and let them feel like they belong there.
When I first started writing for podcasts, I was a travel blogger in my undergrad senior year studying abroad in Denmark (read my travel stories here). Podcasting came naturally to me, since I had to literally use my own voice to connect with others AND IT FELT EXHILARTING! People really are different when you give them a mic and some spotlight- podcasting helped me make so many friends and connections over simply sharing stories and rewinding them on a cozy weekend to recap memories….the ultimte memoir I could ever make as a designer, artist, traveller and journalist. (SO grateful!)
