Hi, nice to meet you!
My name is Vibha, and I am an artist by heart, and designer by profession.
I’ve always loved art and design- whether it was painting on canvases in my bedroom-turned art studio, or building 3D sites and structures during in my undergrad Architecture program- to now, building immersive interfaces and systems in my master’s program in Human computer interaction and advanced interactive computing in Atlanta, GA.
Growing up in Bahrain blossomed my love for artistic expression- every weekend was another visit to an artist installation and a new form of interactive public experience! The first time I took studio A-Level art in my high school, St. Christopher’s, I learnt that art captures experiences, whether it is a fleeting displacement of time and space, or a more gradual episodal experience that keeps users coming back for more.
Pattern recognition and building based on user activity was a skill I picked up when I was studying cognitive computing and machine learning during my study abroad at Copenhagen, Denmark. From building models that pretrained on ultrasounds to scrapping big data on geopolitical climate sentiment across EU and US, I enjoy systems thinking and building buidling pipelines that inform interfaces with real-life user data and behavior.
Aside from that, I am pretty much your average middle-eastern- I do horse riding classes, play the oud (the instrument not the scent), going to local art crawls and enjoy weekly visits to the farm behind us- and occasionally seeing a peacock or two in residence :)
